Why We're Different

We here at Pass Pictures have come to realize that it may be a bit confusing for our viewers to distinguish between Pass Pictures, and Pass Pictures Entertainment. While they share (basically) the same name, there are some substantial differences, and we thought it would be a grand idea to take some time out to highlight those differences for you and eliminate any possible confusion.

First, let's just say the obvious: Pass Pictures is a production company, and Pass Pictures Entertainment is a network. PPE is where all the shows produced by us (Pass Pictures) and various other production companies, and those created by the show owners, actually air. You can go to PPE at any time for updated news about any of your favorite shows, and to find the latest episode of the week. Pass Pictures, on the other hand, is simply a place that will serve as an outlet for press releases from the Angel and Faith camps, as well as from other shows like EOD and Destiny.

Secondly, the jobs. PPE's job is to air the shows it picks up and to promote them. Pass Pics job is to produce said shows, give guidance to the creators/writers when it is needed, and to further serve as an outlet for news and updates when necessary.

Thirdly, producing shows. Shows produced by Pass Pictures may or may not have a "Produced by Pass Pictures" credit when they air. We do encourage this step, not only to get our name out there but so that viewers know when they see that credit that they are viewing a quality show. PPE also produces shows, but produces them from the network directly. When PPE picks up a show to air, they automatically give their seal of approval and agree to move that show into production for future airing. Pass Pics is more of a "Consulting Producer", as our staff gives the show help when needed.

PPE is an extension of Pass Pics, in its original form. This site you are viewing now is the ORIGINAL Pass Pictures site, and PPE simply evolved from this site and merged with the old VTV/VTN network to become PPE. Basically, what all the mumbo above says is that the two companies are, in fact, two separate entities, but they also are linked together because both companies want to bring the highest quality series' to your computer screen.

A New Update

Some time has passed since this site has last been updated. Now we have some great news to bring to all of you!

First, Pass Pictures Entertainment, a NEW network that has replaced the old VTV/VTN network, is now up and fully operational. You can find it at the affiliation link to the right. New episodes of EOD, Angel, and Faith, all Pass Pictures shows, are now airing every week to rave reviews!

Secondly, this site is in a sort-of transition. We used to bring you all the great news about all of our shows, and we will continue to do that, occasionally. The fact is that the new PPE site has a news section that is managed by the execs, so we're kind of not necessary to bring you news about your favorite shows because you can find it there. What we WILL be doing, however, is updating you with news about when we pick up new shows, what the current situation is on the shows we already produce, and bring you interviews and reviews when it is necessary. We won't be updating as often as we once did, but we still will be putting information out there for our wonderful viewers, so don't delete us from your favorites list just yet!

Be sure to check back here every so often to see news updates and current writing updates on your favorite shows.

Thanks for your continued support!

Exclusive Interview with Jenn Stickwood!

Today we have an exclusive Pass Pictures interview with Jennifer Stickwood, co-creator of EOD! She sits down to talk with us about the EOD concept, the first season, and we try to pry some hints about next year out of her!

Pass Pictures: Thanks for sitting down with us. It must be hard to find time to do these interviews, what with running your hit seried End of Days (EOD) and constantly working on new projects.

Jenn Stickwood: Yeah I'm a busy little beaver...but I am always up for interviews and stuff because well I'm a dork and I love talking about EOD.

PassPics: So the first season of your series has been pretty explosive. Numerous pregnancies, and many deaths. Tell us a little about why you did that.

Jenn: Well some people may not know this but EOD the series actually began as a backstory deal for the roleplay game with the same name that Aimee and I started a while ago, because the players were confused with the history of it. Then we were approached by Emma Hayden who talked us into making it a series and well the rest is history. So, the events that happen, happen to give us a sort of backstory on how the original characters, the children of the scoobies who we have dubbed 'next gens' came to be and what thier childhood was like, shaping them for the future.

PassPics: Weren't you worried that fans of the original Buffy and Angel series might not take to EOD because so many people from those series have died?

Jenn: I was, at first it was a big deal that people may be pissed off about it but then I thought, well people were pissed when Joss killed Tara, thats just what makes television great and makes a writer great. I have actually had a few friends of mine refuse to read EOD because of the scooby deaths, and all I say to them is "your loss"

PassPics: What gave you the initial idea for this series?

Jenn: Well as I said above, it started as a backstory for a roleplay game and kinda got out of hand when both Emma Hayden and the late Daniel Pass both kept telling Aimee and I over and over how we should make it a virtual series. Dan at the time had Angel season 6 and Emma was just starting VTV so they managed to convince us, been going strong ever since!

PassPics: You changed a number of different things about the original finale of Buffy. How did you decide what things to change, and was it difficult choosing which to change and which to leave the same? It seems like it would be like trying to walk across glass--you need to tip-toe.

Jenn: Haha yeah that was one of the hardest episodes I have written and will probably always be for that reason. Uhm well some stuff we KNEW had to change in order for certain characters to be alive....like Anya was one who's fate we knew we had to re-write because without her we wouldn't have Alex or Adrienne...characters important to the rp and season 2 of the series so some we knew right off based on what we knew of the original characters, others we just changed for some drama to the script. There are some I wish we could have kept, Andrew being a main one for me but we had a HUGE cast list already and it's difficult to write with a cast list so huge and not leave people out..thats something I've struggled with the entire season writing wise. Season two has a bit of a smaller cast (Though not by much) so I'm hoping all will go better that way.

PassPics: Yes, it would seem hard to write for all those characters. Do you try to include all of them in each episode, or do you just leave some out when need be?

Jenn: I personally try to get at least a camo of each of them in every episode I write, but it gets incredibly difficult so sometimes people still get left out. THough now its not AS bad after we axed half the cast -laugh-

PassPics: Tell us about the progression of this season and what some of the characters are going through.

Jenn: Well basically this season was about the scoobies and fang gang cast attempting to get on with their lives even as the world was slowly being taken over by The First and it's Turok Han. They try to have relationships, families, children and I think it's interesting to see...how many people thought they would see Buffy and Angel have a kid? Or Spike and Fred? or even OZ moving on with another woman? What we tried to do was go to the sides that Joss never really showed. He tapped a few of them slightly but we full fledge jumped into them and found places we haven't really seen the characters in before. We have them going through the same old evil fighting, with twists like children, marrige, deaths of loved ones and to me thats what sets EOD apart from all the other Buffy/Angel web things out there. We wern;t afraid to go places other people seem to be.

PassPics: Was it necessary for those Scoobies that died to actually die?

Jenn: -Laughs- yes it was necessary ...we wouldn't have done it for nothing! Like I said earlier, we had to play out the backgrounds we knew for the original characters, we even tweaked a few bios to make the stories a bit more interesting. But in the long run, yes everything that happens, happend for a reason and has a purpose. Unlike what some people seem to like to say, we aren't just killing people off because we don't like them. My favorite character was one of the first ones to die and that was an incredibly hard episode for me to write and I really didn't want to kill him but, I knew I had to for the sake of the story. It sucks yes but, this isn't random homicide of characters Aimee and I dislike, it's us sacrificing our personal attatchments for the good of the story.

PassPics: You've mentioned Aimee Hudson quite a few times in this interview, and it's no secret that you like to blab about her whenever you get the chance (laughs). Give us an insight into your writing team and how they help out.

Jenn: (laughs) Yeah well Aimee isn't just a writer shes the co-brain of this operation we wouldn't have gotten this far without her on board but she's the silent type...not really keen on interviews and stuff so I like to point out how it isn't JUST me in this that I DO have a co conspiritor in all this. As for the 'writing team' we don't really seem to have one. We had a bunch of people who were going to write for us but they had some stuff of their own go down, one of them vanished off the face of the earth and then the whole tragedy with Dan...but we have had a few 'guest' writers lets call them. Rachael Johnston and Emma Hayden who did just wonderfull for us, both of them hadn't really written script before so I had to give them a hand but still for their first time writing both of them did incredibly well. I am particularly impressed with Emma and episode 8 "Risky Buisness" she actually wrote that before episode two because someone else was writing two, but it just turned out to be such a powerfull episode still one of my favorites so yeah, we've been blessed with the help we have gotten even though it was less then originally planned.

PassPics: Well, Season 1 is off to a fantastic start, can you tell us what's in store for some of our favorite characters until the end of the season?

Jenn: I cant tell you that! Ruin the rest of the season for ya! (laughs) we have...what five original scobies left and I think it's four episodes of season one to go and what I can say is all of them will be packed full of drama, humour, tears and fears, everything you have come to expect from End Of Days. We do our best to live up to the amazing skill Joss brought to these characters and keep everyone on the edge of their seats.

PassPics: And what about Season 2? Any tidbits you'd like to throw our way?

Jenn: Hmm well without giving any spoilers away...I know Im a bugger but common! I hate spoilers so I try not to give them but...basically season two will focas more on the children or "next gens" and thier life struggles while battling evil and the like. Basically it's a sort of 'back to the beginning' thing for us, I'm hoping we get a feel sorta like back in the old days with Buffy, Xander, WIllow and Giles at the highschool learning and growing with the world...and wow that sounds lame (laugh) I don't know what I'm talking about! (laugh)

PassPics: We're sure that you know more than you're letting on, and it's obvious you know what you're talking about! (laughs) So, no spoliers for us, but you can't say we didn't try folks!

Jenn: I know all! Haha! Many have tried, none have succeeded! (laughs)

PassPics: Thanks for sitting down with us and taking time to help us highlight your series! We wish you well with the end of this season and many seasons to come!

Jenn: No problem I love these interviews, I could sit around and talk about EOD all day if they'd let me (laughs) Thank you we appretiate the support and hope we don't get TOO many Buffy fans mad at us for all the torture we are putting them through (laughs)

End of Days airs Mondays on VTN and it's home site.

Updates: VTN, Faith, EOD and more!

We have a stockpile of updates for you today! With press releases from VTN, Faith, and news from EOD, this is not going to be a dull post!

VTN:

The CEO of VTN has sent along another press release, detailing the updated VTN site and when things will be completed.

"VTV has completed the reconstruction of the home page earlier then
expected, we have decided to not yet follow through on changing the
layout of the entire web site. This is largely due to the fact we
simply don't have enough time, and resources at this moment in time.

"For now the changes made to the Networks web site are good enough and
still better then it was before.

"VTV will soon announce the new schedules for the coming season some
time soon, so keep tuned.

http://uk.geocities.com/vtn_rising/vtnhome.html"

With the new VTN/V site up, we can only look forward to exceptional series and a technologically savvy home site.

Faith:

Production on the first ever episode of FAITH has now been completed, and the script has been turned in to network executives for preparation of the airdate in September. Soon we will bring you the first ever exclusive look at the poster for the series premiere episode, and will continue to bring you updates as we recieve them.

EOD:

Good news, End of Days fans! The EOD site has been relocated to Geocities and now is back up and running again. The site is still under construction, but at least the home hub is back up for viewers to visit whenever they please. As soon as the affliation link is made available, we will add the new link to our site. In the meantime, the link to the official EOD site is: http://www.geocities.com/eod_theseries/main/home.html

NEWS BYTE: Execs at ANGEL have informed us that Season Seven will begin airing on VTN/V this fall! The network is currently airing Season Six through the month of August in order to prepare for the premiere of the highly anticipated seventh season. VTN's Press Release: Network Tells All About What's Upcoming!

Here's the latest from the head of VTN about what the site is going through, what changes we can expect, and when we can tune back in for our favorite programs to return and new ones to begin.

"As you may have noticed the current web site construction has been
halted, this is due largely to the fact that the network took a U
turn on keeping its current layout. Over a week ago the board
decided that it would be best to create a new look for the network.
Work has now started on the new look VTV/VTN web site and I can
proudly say its looking far superior then its previous layout.

The new web site will be unveiled as soon as it is completed; we
predict this will be either end of August or early September, in
time for the beginning of the new season.

In conjunction to this new look we have taken on new shows produced
by Pass Pictures, such as Faith the Virtual series, and Destiny. We
will still continue to air new episodes of our current shows, Angel
the virtual series, EOD and Wonderhell. The network also has plans
to air virtual movies.

We hope the networks idleness for the next two months doesn't cause
any inconvenience to its viewers, writers and producers. This is for
the betterment of the network and the step was a necessary one to
ensure the advancement of VTV-VTN.

Thank you…

Network Director & Management"

We here at Pass Pictures can't wait for our new shows to start airing on VTN, and we can't wait to see the exciting and modern new look for our favorite virtual network!

News Byte: DESTINY Creator Chris Ulysses tells us that the site for DESTINY is nearly finished. Original links provided by Mr. Ulyssess led us to a page that said the site was not yet ready, so as soon as we have a concrete link, we'll send it straight your way!

FAITH Updates!

It's been exactly one week since our last update, and all has been quite on the home front. No news from last week to report to you as of this press time, but we will continue to probe into every single one of our sources to find out any and all happenings and information that is out there for us to bring directly to you! But, what we do have for you today is another exciting update from FAITH the series. We now have for you the COMPLETE cast list, with REGULAR and RECURRING characters that will appear throughout the season.

FAITH CAST LIST

SERIES REGULARS (Credited in the title sequence)

Eliza Dushku as Faith
DB Woodside as Robin Wood
Tom Lenk as Andrew Wells
Balthazar Getty as Demitri
and
Grant Show as James Lehane

RECURRING CHARACTERS (Frequent guest stars)
Kat Dennings as Felicia
Avril Lavigne as Roxanne
and
Alyson Hannigan as Willow Rosenburg

You can surmise for yourself what the first season of this highly anticipated series will shape up to be, with a stellar cast like this. Alyson Hannigan has signed on for as least three episodes this season, and the producers would like to see more.

FAITH has also asked us to let you know that other, less frequent guest stars will be listed in the episode credits as the episodes are released.

Also, we have heard that filming has begun on the first FAITH episode ever! That's right, you heard it here first--FAITH is now *officially* in production. The filming for the first episode is scheduled to conclude within the week, giving the actors the weekend off, then it's back to the grind next week to shell out two more episodes!

And FAITH'S homesite is still looking for members to put forth feedback once the episodes begin airing, so, if you're one of those people who like to critique and make comments about your favorite shows, this is the opportunity of a lifetime!

NEWS BYTE: The producers for ANGEL the series tell us that the reason for the slowing of episode airing is because they are working to complete the season in order for it to air on VTN this fall. They are no longer working towards their original schedule, because Creator Brandon Collins is working on other projects that need his divided attention, which is causing the slowage of ANGEL episodes. But, not to worry, the season WILL be completed by the end of this summer FOR SURE! Check back here for updates!
